About This Spot

Stepping into Pagano’s Italian Specialties is like wandering into a warm, bustling corner of an Italian market tucked comfortably in Drexel Hill. The moment you cross the threshold, the lively hum of friendly chatter and the scent of fresh-baked breads and cured meats greet you—a comforting reminder of neighborhood delis where everyone seems to know your name. It’s a place where time loosens just enough to savor the little rituals of choosing ingredients and sharing quick hellos behind the counter.

There’s a distinct rhythm to Pagano’s that blends thoughtful care with lively energy. The line might stretch a bit during busy hours, a quiet testament to the care and craftsmanship poured into each sandwich and pantry item. Patience here feels rewarded rather than tested, as each order arrives layered with just the right combination of paper-thin meats and generously portioned cutlets, all thoughtfully matched to their crusty, authentic Italian breads. The staff’s genuine warmth buzzes quietly beneath the surface, making every wait feel less like a nuisance and more like part of an unhurried ritual.

Beyond the hoagies and sandwiches that draw so many back repeatedly, Pagano’s shelves brim with imported pastas, vinegars, oils, and other ingredients that invite you to bring a little taste of Italy home. It’s a place to not only satisfy immediate cravings but to restock your pantry—and perhaps your spirit—with genuine, thoughtfully selected staples and unexpected finds.

Visiting Pagano’s is less about rushing and more about savoring small moments: the quick exchange with someone behind the counter who knows their craft, the layering of flavors in a sandwich that invites slow bites, and the discovery of a new Italian specialty to try at home. It’s a local gem where care, tradition, and everyday connection linger in the air.

I checked this place out while passing through town based on a social media post. What a gem! The peppered ham hoagie was fabulous and everyone working there was as nice as can be. I will definitely find my way back.

Great sandwiches at an excellent price. Unfortunately there can be an extremely long wait sometimes. Don't say "it's gonna be a couple minutes" when it's going to take a half hour to get one sandwich.

A Family run deli with employees who hustle and care about the customer. Yea the line can be a little long and the wait seemingly forever at times but if you have eaten here a couple of times you understand why... it is just that good! Have had just about everything from the deli. My favorites are the Tomato Pie, Tomato Salad (Summer Only) and the Tuscan Cutlet Salad. Any sandwich will be delicious and filling, I know i have just about had them all. Oh and I must mention the Broccoli Rabe it is perfect, you will crave it after having it once. Fabulous Pagano's is, they deserves and have earned all the accolades and five star reviews given....

This spot is siiick. It’s a little Italian market deli with maybe some of the best hoagies/cutlets in Delco. The meats are paper thin and the cutlets are bountiful but also super thin. They have all the best breads (Liscio’s, Cacia’s, D’Ambrosio and more) and know what to use for each sandwich. Tons of imported pastas, oils, vinegars, etc so come ready to restock your Italian pantry items. The Caesar cutlet is one of my husband’s favorites and add mortadella to the Imported Italian and you can die happy.

My Fiancé put me on to the cutlet sandwich n I've been chasing it every since, lol.... I drive a half hour just to get this sandwich. I had the chocolate covered pretzels as well, in due time I'll try many more items. It's very clean an the employees are very kind an patient. I Love this store.

Excellent Italian sandwiches and food, what are the best in Delaware Valley? They’re known for their sandwiches, especially the chicken cutlet and also the prepared foods as well. If you haven’t been please go you won’t be disappointed .

Always a 20/10. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The sandwiches are top notch and the deli items are always 100% fresh and perfect. The only deli I go to.
